Hey Metricooler,

Six months ago, if someone had mentioned “MCP” in a meeting, I would have googled it under the table to check if it was some kind of medication.

Now it's part of my everyday work vocabulary.

Things are moving in marketing these days, and if you've been anywhere near social media or AI lately, you already know the rhythm: something new shows up, there's a wave of hype, and then the dust settles, and you figure out what's worth keeping.

The dust has (mostly) settled on MCP and what's left for social media professionals is a connection between your Metricool data and Claude that lets you ask AI to work with your real numbers instead of made-up examples and cuts a lot of context switching

To get you started, or take things further, I’ve put together a PDF guide that includes a step-by-step MCP setup and 30 prompts we use every single week:

And today, we’re breaking down what made it work and how you can apply the same thinking, whatever your differentiator is:

One thing worth knowing: all of this works with free accounts on both Metricool and Claude.

1. Analyze your performance

The question I keep coming back to after any post goes live is: why did that one work, and why didn't the other?

Asking Claude about your best-performing posts this month gives you reach, interactions, engagement rates, and the actual reasoning behind the numbers, all pulled from your Metricool data, right there in the chat.

Bonus: We also built an agent that takes this further. Type /report in Claude Code and it generates a full social media report in a couple of minutes, covering every network you manage, your top posts ranked with full stats, a competitor comparison, and content recommendations tied to real numbers, all from a single command.

2. Create and schedule your posts

I already use AI all the time to bounce ideas, find a different angle, or clean up copy before posting.

But this is the cherry on top for me: once I have a post ready, I can now schedule it to any platform without leaving the conversation. No more switching tools or copy-pasting into a planner.

And if you really want to go further, you can also design full carousels with our agent within Claude. Share an idea to get started, and it takes you through the whole process, from rough idea to finished design scheduled in Metricool. Mind-blowing.

Watch how it works:

3. Manage multiple accounts at once

This one is most useful if you manage several accounts for the same brand, like a franchise or a local business with multiple locations. We at Metricool manage social in four different languages, so this is super useful.

Instead of going through each one separately, you can ask Claude to analyze all of them at once and surface what's different between them.

Something like this:

"Compare Instagram performance across my eight gyms over the last month. Which account grew the most, and which had the best engagement rate?"

And you get an answer that breaks it down account by account, instead of a table you'd have to interpret yourself. Simple, but incredibly time-saving.

4. Keep a close eye on your competitors

With your competitors (or accounts that inspire you) already tracked in Metricool, you can ask Claude to spot patterns in what they're posting, identify gaps in your own account, and suggest content ideas to fill them.

If you want to turn this into a weekly habit, with a clear sequence of prompts that takes you from the big picture down to a concrete content plan, we've laid it all out here:

Before we continue, I wanted to ask you something: how has AI impacted your work?

We’re working on a report about social media professionals and how they use AI, and I would love to include your experience. I want it to be diverse and authentic because no two people use it the same way, and that's exactly what makes it worth asking about. I want to know about the good and the bad, what you're excited about and what still needs improvement.

It will only take you a couple of minutes.

MASTERCLASS

Create reports with AI: more insights in less time

Social media reports give you the data. AI helps you figure out what to do with it, but only if you know how to ask. Empty questions get empty answers, and what you want is information you can act on.

In this session, we'll walk through how to work with Metricool's AI to go from numbers to decisions, so you spend less time figuring out what to do next and more time actually doing it.

When your reports don't add up…

Your campaigns are running, clients are paying on time, but something is off: your reports. Browser restrictions, cookies, and privacy regulations are limiting how user journeys get tracked, and that's cutting into your data.

In this free masterclass, we'll break down what's happening with online tracking today and how Google Tag Gateway can help you recover the visibility you've been missing.

PD

I can't get this Twitter account out of my head. It takes the most iconic image from whatever sporting event everyone's talking about and pairs it with a work of art from any era, as if it had been painted for that exact scene. Some of these matches are dizzying. The World Cup winner already has a name, if you ask me.
